WHY WRITE BY HAND?

WRITING BY HAND

Writers often ask me why I recommend that we do "fresh writing" by hand rather than on the computer. I believe that writing by hand a kinesthetic action. When we write by hand we connect closer to the heart and more easily access our personal truth.

"What comes from the pen in hand is, indeed, a tactile art."

The Executive Director of TACtile, the new textile arts center in Tamarac Square in Denver wrote this amazing line about writing by hand. "What comes from pen in hand is, indeed, a tactile art." www.textilearts.org

I attended the opening of TACtile the new textile arts center in Tamarac Square. It was amazing to see the 300 people interested in weaving, beading, felting. A whole new world of folks who create with their hands. Writing is a hand art.
