TIPS TO GET STARTED FOR THE NEW YEAR!
Got a New Year’s Resolution to write more in 2009? Hard to get back into gear after the
holidays? Set your intension for 2009. Promise to spend time with your self, writing.
Make a commitment to yourself and give yourself time for writing. The commitment: WRITE EACH DAY!
Adapt this intention to your own schedule: Write every few days, on weekends,
or try the full fledged commitment and “Write every morning.”
Try these steps to get going.
1. Make a contract with your self and promise to write each day. Use the one below or make
up your own. --Email your agreement to info@SoupKitchenWriting.com
2. Write each day from the suggested start lines in this blog. Orignore these and make up your
own. --Send your Opening Lines at week’s end to info@SoupKitchenWriting.com
3. Each week, send me an email about what you accomplished and how writing feels.
Want accountability? For 30 days, I will touch base with you to see if you are on track.
Send your commitment and your start lines to info@SoupKitchenWriting.com or to
AnneRandolph@comcast.net
YOUR 30 DAY COMMITMENT: WRITE 15 MINUTES EACH DAY FOR 30 DAYS,
or commit to WRITE ONE SENTENCE A DAY.
Feel free to adapt for what works best for you.
