Now with the new segregrations between ethnicity, color, socio-economic status, religion, living and loving preferences - it holds even more meaning than when Dr. King wrote it with one segregated target group. Thank you, Dr. King. Thank you for reminding us that truly we are ALL in this together.

Comment on A New Start

Hi Dana, Our regular writing workshops take place on Tuesday morning beginning Jan 10 from 9:30-12:00 in Cherry Creek and on Wed same time near U'Hills. We would love to have you with us. Send me an email to AnneRandolph@comcast.net and I'll send exact location.
I plan on being much more productive in my writing this year, starting with my blog. I made no other resolutions - they usually don't last. Just walking and writing. That's plenty. Hope you're having some Soup Kitchen Writing soon!

Dana

Comment on A Fresh Perspective

I always love your prompts, Anne. This is an especially good one and a timely one when thoughts turn to the past year (for raking ourselves over the coals!) and the coming year for plans and goals and schedules. I'm just trying to be this year. It's enough. I'm happy just to be back in Denver! Hope to see you soon. -Dana

Comment on Live Your Dream

This is fantastic. Then in their winter, go to Hawaii, to Italy, to Denver, southern France and all the places it's warm but not hot. Learn Italian and French. I want to take in all the cultural and personal places that the people who live in those places are involved in. I want to meet the people in shops, ride their public transportation, and do the things they do and eat the food they eat on a daily basis. Most of my time will be spent in Argentina. I'd like to travel by train around the country and take the cruise over to Antarctica. I want to demonstrate in Plaza de Mayo on Thursdays with Las Madres de la Plaza de Mayo and talk with them about the relatives they lost under the dictatorship of the 1970s and 80s.

Most of all, I want to write novels and poetry and keep a travel blog going daily.

I'm tired of illness and tired of waiting for my life to begin. I want it now. Live in the moment. Beginning now.

Comment on New Technology: THE BOOK!

Yes, The Book! New Technology. Anne
I'm so geared for the morning but creatively run out of juice by lunchtime. Lately I've been writing several poems in a morning for the Aug. Postcard Poetry Fest (they aren't great works of art - but some turn out well), and then I write the poems onto the postcards in the afternoon or evening. This year I'm writing first into a notebook so I can save them all - something I didn't do the first year I participated. Heck, I can even watch Law & Order and copy down my poems! Then I'm thinking about poetry and go to sleep with that on my mind -- to incubate. Sage advice, thank you!
